By participating in our study, you will be helping us learn more about the connection between adolescent mental and physical health so that we can help adolescents lead healthier lives!
Adolescent girls who participate in our study can earn up to $335, and their parent can earn $75 (Compensation is given in the form of gift cards.)
How stressful is it to be an adolescent girl? Our study wants to know! At the UNC Girls Health Study, we are interested in learning more about girls, their current thoughts and feelings about themselves, their relationships with friends and family, and their mental and physical health.
At this time, we are looking for girls between the ages of 9 and 14 who have had difficulties with sadness, anxiety, or stress.
In our study, adolescents come into our lab space at UNC with a parent. Both adolescents and their parents privately complete questionnaires, and discuss with staff topics such as friendships and family life. Participants also do roleplaying activities.
After the visit is over, there will
be additional follow-up opportunities.
If you are interested in participating and would like more information or would like to know if you qualify, your parent can call us toll-free at 1-855-700-HEALTH or by e-mail at GirlsHealthStudy@unc.edu.
